Valley Makers Workshop turns a Sherman Oaks space along the LA River bike path into a cardboard, LEGO, and popsicle-stick construction zone every week. Mr. Oliver has kids design, build, and stress-test their own creations — and once a week the puzzles and logic games come out for math club regulars. Parents are always welcome to peek in during pickup and see what got built.

Solid class, kid loves going every week. My kid is slowly rebuilding a tower stronger after it collapsed, and weekend parking near the gym gets crowded but there's always a spot within a block. Only reason it's not five stars is the class can feel a little crowded some weeks.
