Ventura Blvd Hoops Academy runs a Sherman Oaks gym full of squeaky sneakers, bouncing balls, and kids working on layups, crossovers, and free throws. Coach Terrence breaks every group into skill-appropriate stations so beginners and travel-team hopefuls both leave better than they arrived. Game days bring out a real scoreboard and referees, because kids take it seriously — and so do we.

Can't say enough good things about Coach Terrence. after class my kid asked if we could come back tomorrow. Genuinely one of the best activities we've tried in the Valley.
It's fine — kid enjoys it but I've seen better organized programs. My kid still enjoys it and is slowly boxing out for a rebound, but a couple of classes have been cancelled last minute with short notice.
Can't say enough good things about Coach Terrence. my kid went from nervous to running a real fast break instead of chasing the ball in just a few weeks. The Ventura Blvd metered spots fill up but there's usually one within a block. We'll be back every session.
